Amazon Prime Deal Days are here — Tuesday, June 23 to Friday, June 26. If you’re budget conscious like us, you want to know that you’re getting a good deal on the products you’re looking for, you don’t want to waste money, and you don’t want to buy what you don’t need!

I’m sure this is very familiar to my fellow homeschooling moms, but I try to think of these three things when I’m shopping on Amazon.

  • Do my research. (Is this actually a good deal or not?)

  • Is this resource already in my plans or will it contribute to my plans? (if it’s not related to my curriculum plans, we probably don’t need it or won’t use it!)

  • Think ahead! (planning ahead helps here - if we are sticking to a curriculum, or know that we have a read aloud on our list for next year, then we have time to find the best deal)

  • Decide on a budget and stick to it! (this is tough — but so important!)

So, for your benefit and mine, I reviewed the historical pricing on certain curriculum, workbooks, and read alouds that are useful in our homeschool, and I’m sharing deals I find and what I’m watching this week!

Updated June 24, 2026 (This page will be updated throughout Prime Days June 23-26 as new deals become available).

Prime Day Deal!… Family Read Aloud Book Series

One of my favorite ways to discover new family read alouds is through book series. Not only does it eliminate the question of what to read next, but it often (hopefully) inspires kids to continue reading the series independently. Either way, the story doesn't have to end after a single book!

Several family read aloud series, fitting for upper elementary, have Prime Day Deals this week. Below is a brief overview along with the potential savings based on the historical pricing.

  • The Wingfeather Saga (4 book set) - Our oldest son loves the animated TV show based on this series available on Angel Studios, which led me to seek out the books as well. This fantasy adventure series is a great fit for older elementary and middle-grade readers. At approximately $17, the current Prime Day price is about at its lowest recorded price. While the set has been listed as high as $40, it has spent much of the past year around $23, making this a savings of about $6.

  • The Wild Robot (3 book set) - The Wild Robot has become increasingly popular, especially since the release of the movie adaptation. I’ve even seen more and more literature guides available to accompany it if you want to study the novel more deeply. The current Prime Day price is just over $14, which appears to be the lowest price on record. Over the past six months, the set has generally sold for around $18, creating a savings of approximately $4.

  • The Wayside School (4 book set) - These books bring back memories and laughs — from the missing 19th floor, Mrs. Gorf, and other wacky, silly stories. My oldest has recently started reading the series and enjoys it just as much as I did. It is selling for approximately $15 with the Prime Day Deal, which is near its historical low. The set has often sold between $20 and $25, making this a potential savings of $5–$10.

  • The Secret of the Hidden Scrolls: The Complete Series (9 book set) - This is a Christian-based book series similar in format to the Magic Tree House books. Two siblings travel back in time to experience biblical events such as Noah's Ark and David and Goliath. The series emphasizes a biblical worldview and themes of courage, faith, and trust. The current Prime Day price is approximately $23, while the historical price over the past year has generally ranged from $27 to $34, resulting in a savings of at least $4.

Prime Day Deal!… Brain Quest, Evan Moor, and IXL Summer Workbooks

If you don’t homeschool year-round, summer can be a wonderful time to relax and connect as a family. That doesn’t mean learning needs to stop completely, though. Fun games and light summer workbooks can help keep skills fresh, review concepts that were challenging during the school year, and maintain momentum without sacrificing a relaxed summer schedule.

Evan Moor offers a variety of engaging activities for light daily summer work. Brain Quest summer workbooks are colorful, interactive, and designed to feel more like a game. For families already using IXL, the IXL summer workbooks are a natural fit, as the workbook activities correspond directly to the online IXL skills.

Price History: Several Brain Quest Summer Workbooks are currently at their lowest prices in several month, with Prime Day prices around $5–$6. The Evan Moor Daily Summer Activities books are approximately $9. While they are currently labeled as Prime Day Deals, historical pricing data shows they have been available at similar prices for several months, making them less of a true Prime Day discount. The IXL Ultimate Summer Workbooks are approximately $12.99 with the current Prime Day promotion. Based on historical pricing data, that represents a savings of roughly $2–$5 compared to their typical selling price.

Prime Day Deal!… Grooved Cursive Handwriting Books

This Grooved Cursive book by Graceful By Design, now known as Grooved Learning, makes handwriting and cursive practice actually fun, at least according to my kids. I have one kid who has definitely needed more practice in the handwriting department. This concept forces the student to slow down and concentrate on tracing in the grooves while they form muscle memory for the lines, spacing, and shapes. It has especially been helpful as they learn and practice cursive.

Price History: There is no price history, but Amazon typically sells the Historical Poetry Study version for $40, which is the same as the brand website. As of June 23, there is a Prime Day Deal on this book for $31, which saves about $9! The Animal Kingdom version is slightly higher (mid-$40’s) and there is no current deal.

The two available grooved cursive books are:

Prime Day Deal!… Learning Wrap-Ups

Learning Wraps-Ups are perfect for active kids (like my boys) who need extra hands-on practice to reinforce book learning. It’s a physical plastic bookmark (though bigger) that has a string attached where kids wrap the string from side to side in grooves next to each answer — so matching synonyms, antonyms, multiplication or division facts, and more. We have the language arts wrap-ups and I love adding that in as an extra activity to help language arts be more kinesthetic. It works extremely well for math facts, and I’m looking at the US geography option for learning states and capitals!

Price History: The historical pricing on Amazon isn’t consistent and some data is missing — the bundles have been as high as mid-$40’s and the single wrap-ups have been as high as $10, though it’s not uncommon for those to fall around $7. However, in comparison with other websites - the official Learning Wrap-ups website shows bundles between $35-45, and single wrap-ups around $10, and Rainbow Resources shows around $40 for bundles and $9.50 for single wrap-ups.

With that in mind (and unless you can find these super cheap at used homeschool sales!), the following Learning Wrap-ups are good Prime Day Deals:

Deals… “180 Days of” Workbooks (Shell Education)

There are several of these worktexts, spanning all subjects — reading, social studies, science, math, language, geography, and more. While I would not consider this a full curriculum for any core subject, they can be useful for supplementing as needed. I want to especially point out 180 Days of Spelling and Word Study for K-6th. After the Explode the Code series, I like to transition around 4th grade to these books and plan to continue through the 6th grade.

Price History: Based on historical pricing data, Amazon’s current pricing is lower than average (currently around $12 with a range of approximately $11-$20), and combined with the Buy 3 for the Price of 2 promotion (3 for 2 promo has ended) it is a good deal and workbooks that I would continue to watch.

As of this website update, many of the “180 Days of” workbooks were eligible for Amazon's Buy 3 for the Price of 2 promotion (3 for 2 promo has ended):

Deals… A Child’s Introduction book series

These colorful, engaging books provide just that… a child’s introduction to different subjects — orchestra, poetry, Greek mythology, Egyptology, the night sky, and more. I’m personally keeping an eye on the Greek mythology and Egyptology books for our future history plans.

Price history: Looking at the historical prices on Amazon, the highest price for most all the books has been around $20, and the lowest price around $11-12. So if you find these books at close to that $10 range, then you should be getting a good deal on Amazon.

As of this website update, several of the books are hovering at that $11-12 range, so you may want to see if this is on your list!:

Deals… The Story of Civilization: Vol. 1 - The Ancient World

This is a Catholic history series published by TAN Books that spans ancient times to modern US history in four volumes. If you’re Catholic, this is an excellent curriculum for elementary to middle school history for independent study, family read aloud, or as an audiobook supplement. I love to use Core Knowledge (free, secular) for history, but I also occasionally supplement with this.

Price History: All four volumes are available on Amazon and, based on historical pricing it looks like the first volume sits at its lowest price (as of when this webpage was updated). The historical highest price has hovered around $25, so depending on the current price of each volume and if they are part of Amazon’s Buy 3 for the Price of 2 promotion (3 for 2 promo has ended), you may have a good discount. This is definitely a series to watch and potentially buy if you plan to use this curriculum in the future.

Maybe… Two Truths and a Lie

These are great read alouds that have short nonfiction stories. You read three stories on the same topic - like water - then discuss and try to figure out which story is the lie! A fun logic and critical thinking exercise for upper elementary.

Price History: Looking at the price history, these books have been priced on Amazon between about $7 and $11-13 for the paperback. The hardcover are much more and aren’t discounted. These could be a good deal if they are priced low enough, and if you think they would fit into your homeschool plans. Right now, the books vary in price, so it’s a maybe on this deal so far! It honestly might be better to find these used or borrow from the library.

As of this website update, all three books in the series are also eligible for Amazon's Buy 3 for the Price of 2 promotion (3 for 2 promo has ended):

Watch List… The Writing Revolution 2.0

This book by Judith C. Hochman is for you as a homeschool teacher. I find writing one of the hardest subjects to find curriculum that our family likes, as there are so many approaches. TWR 2.0 is a book I have and use, and I really love this approach and the rationale behind it.

The method in the book can take you and your students from beginning writing identifying sentences and fragments to advanced multi-paragraph outlines. The book explains the teaching method, and then gives examples of specific writing exercises that can be immediately incorporated into your homeschool. This method is based on the premise that writing should not be taught as a separate subject, but integrated into other subjects with explicit instruction as a way to show comprehension of material, to better organize and articulate ideas, and to expose potential knowledge gaps.

Price History: For about the past six months, the price on Amazon for both the paperback and spiral-bound (I prefer the spiral-bound!) has sat a little over $20, which is the lowest price historically. So, even though it say 30-40% off, it’s not a new sale or price. However, if the price goes below that $20 mark, then it could be a good deal if you’d like to incorporate this method into your homeschool.

Watch List… National Geographic Kids Animal and Nature-Pedia Books

These books are amazing for any creature and nature loving kids. They are heavy, full color, engaging, and full of scientific and interesting details for the kids who love to devour and accumulate animal and nature facts. We already have the bug and reptile books, and there are several more for any kid obsession — dinosaurs, mammals, predators, rocks, etc.

Price History: The average price range is around $25 on the high end and under $15 on the low end. The prices vary — most are still on the high end of the range, while a few are on the low end, but they’ve been sitting at those prices for awhile. I would keep watching these until there’s a bigger discount or potentially a limited time deal.

Here are a few of the different titles I’m watching:

Watch List… The Core Knowledge Series

I really appreciate Core Knowledge as a free curriculum (as you can tell from my Core Knowledge for Homeschool webpage). I also find worth in The Core Knowledge book series — What Your XX Grader Needs to Know. For Prime Deal Days, I’m specifically interested in the companion resource to this book series, called Books to Build On: A Grade-by-Grade Resource Guide for Parents and Teachers, which offers literature suggestions from kindergarten to 6th grade. One resource to get you from early elementary to middle school is valuable and cost-effective in my view!

Price History: Historically, the price on Amazon for each book, including Books to Build On, has wavered from approximately $10 to over $20. So depending on what you see, it may be a good deal, especially if the books are eligible for Amazon’s “Buy 3 for the Price of 2” promotion (3 for 2 promo has ended).* This is something I’ll be watching!

As of this website update, several Core Knowledge books were eligible for Amazon's Buy 3 for the Price of 2 promotion (3 for 2 promo has ended):

*As a reminder, these books can often be found to check out at public libraries, but if you want the flexibility to make notes or keep it for an extended period, buying might be a better deal.

Watch List… Math Mammoth Student Worktexts

Maria Miller, the creator of Math Mammoth, often runs sales on digital copies through the Math Mammoth website (you’ll get notified if you sign up for her newsletter). Regardless of whether you buy Math Mammoth via the website or through Amazon, definitely keep the Math Mammoth website bookmarked for free video lessons from Maria Miller, math games that correspond to the chapters, and other free resources.

Price History: Amazon’s prices are comparable at times though I don’t see discounts yet. If Amazon doesn’t offer any sale prices, you can visit Rainbow Resources — all Math Mammoth products are on sale 20-25% off this week!

Here are some links to Amazon’s Math Mammoth listings, so you can compare prices:
